USA, Newark -- According to New Jersey based criminal defense and
civil rights attorney, Ravinder Singh (Bhalla), the National Visa
Registry's "no-hats" rule states that the applicant may
not be wearing a hat or "religious covering on the face".
"Since the turban covers the head and not the face, the only
issue appears to be to explain to them that a turban is not a hat
and therefore you are not violating the rule by wearing a turban
in the picture," said Ravinder Singh.
The case continues to be pursued.
