GOD,
this life isn't easy for Sikhs.
Good GOD,
the Sikh Gurus established a casteless culture,
with women's equality,
and democracy,
and Universalism,
in the middle of feudal-state
caste-cemented India,
during the Muslim Inquisition,
5 centuries ago!
HOLY SMOKES!
GOD, life for Sikhs sure isn't easy.
It was the pits during Guru Gobind Singh's life
and bad after he died.
It was horrid during Partition.
It was absolutely disgusting in 1984
and the discrimination against Sikhs worldwide,
right now,
is really tough!
GOD, could you cut us some slack?
GOD, can you bring Sikhs together in chardi-kala
and help us be heroes once again,
for old time's sake?
For GOD's sake?
We desire to live as free people,
celebrating diversity,
in casteless society,
with women's equality,
and democratic process,
and Universalistic love for all beings!
Make it so!
GOD please,
Sikhs figured out we would need to fight for these things
long ago.
We are your warriors
yelling your battle cry
all together,
once again:
PREM Ki JIT!!!!
And Sikhs are not the only people who share this vision.
Join us with people everywhere who share these goals,
in chardi-kala!
GOD, please!
PREM KI JIT!!!
