USA, Chicago -- The Akaal Foundation is to host the Giani Ditt Singh Memorial Conference 'Remembrance, Revival & Return' at the University of Chicago on Saturday, October 20, 2001 from 8am to 5pm.

Author of over forty books, Giani Ditt Singh as well was a poet and journalist, editing the Khalsa Akhbar for several years. Giani ji and was one of the key founders of the Singh Sabha movement. This year is his death centenary.

Giani Ditt Singh is also known for his debate with Daya Nand, the founder of the Arya Samaj. In this three day debate Giani Ditt Singh defeated Daya Nand proving the uniqueness of Sikhism and its complete sovereignty from Hinduism and other mythologies present on the Indian subcontinent.
